OzVMX

The home of Aussie Vintage Motocross

I know its not vmx but a good number of vmx riders from Sydney and down south attended this event last year, whos coming for a ride this year. Few heaven guys attended previously so would be good to see a few come along as a pre warm up to heavens regular riding season

Ricki and myself have to get this monkey off our backs after last years dismal efforts.

Does anyone have a date the event will be on this year, it was on valentines day 2009 so would expect it will be similar again this year

Fossil and Elaine Garvey did a mountain of work for the Far STH Coast MMC and Surfair, one of them being the running of the JacK Hogg. After moving and enjoying a well earned rest, Leanne Gordon took on the organisation and running of the meeting- as well as being involved with Fossil and Elaine in the early days. I think Leanne has had a neck full of the small p Politics involved and the huge workload. With some guidance from Fossil ,Elaine and Leanne we should we be able to keep this great meeting as a regular feature on the calender. My Father -in Law started the meeting as the Coastal Classic many years ago now, when was the President of the the Surfair Club. The bike member numbers are Very low and I think we need to head down the path that Fossil and Elaine started with the FSCMMC several years back- now with over 400 members I believe. I am willing to put my hand up and do what it takes to keep this track and meeting running- and wiyh some help from the club stalwarts it should be possible. If not in Feb, hopefully sometime soon after. Whos in?

Not as yet. The club is going to email me when there's some more info, so I'll advise as soon as there is anything known.

Havent seen Dennis on here for a few weeks, shame if Jack Hogg is off, Coffs classic dirt next option if its on but I remember Don Thornton stressing out trying to russell up numbers last year for coffs as well, great track though

May have to do Coffs

There is a cloud over the running of this meeting this year. The club car members, who have the last say at the moment, are doing renos to the track. More banking on the corners and a high wire safety fence,to catch flying wheels, are being made at the moment. My mail is that the Hogg is not guaranteed. KTM Dennis may know more. Hopefully it is on.
