Neville Cutts won the Aussie 500 MX title on it in WA 2 weeks before Gunter won the Mr MX title.

I remember reading something about Neville Cutts having a session on it also, in WA ?

That RN500 came to Qld for 2 weeks after Gunter won the Mr MX crown. It was in the hands of Phil Thew who prepared it for Stewart MacLauchlan to race at Tivoli and Conondale. No security.. just Phil who was pretty scary on his own!

Couple of questions for holeshot buddy. How do you get a rn84 500 replica? Where is the bike now and are you sure its not an original? I have been a fan of the factory suzy bikes ever since Suzuki gave Anthony Gunther, who I sure is a member, the factory ride to win the Mr Motorcross Aust title in 1979 (I think, and I may stand corrected on that year) at Amaroo Park Race way. What a Day. He blow the competition to the weeds, winning every moto easly and looked as if he was enjoying every minuite of it. I heard the bike was taken to the airport after the win an flown directly back to japan on the next avaliable flight, security around the bike was tight..... I would love to hear Anthonys' comments on that event and the bike. Possible a RN78/79 500. From memory it was the only 500 in the event with the other brands having 480's 490's etc...
