Hi Guys, I have a couple of basic questions to ask. When I raced in the late 70s and early 80s, Belray Oils were a lead oil. As a pre-mix what are your recommendations in todays Brands available and at what ratio. Also, what weight gear box oil goes in the CR. It's been 31 years since I rode one and my memory is not that good. I'm also interested to know if anyone has found a brand of stand that works well.

Yes the wider pegs are ok to use. They are a great addition over the standard Honda pegs from a 79 model.

Good to hear it is such good nick. Will be a joy to ride!!!

The twin air are great filters just don't know how quick you can get one. Run twin air in my other honda's and they are first rate.

Thanks guys, that's a great help. I will organize a Unifilter right away. The Twinair looks OK too. I like the idea of the double layer.

One other thing, Are the wide footpegs allowed in VMX racing?

Shane it is better than the photos! I was blown away when I received it They really have done a job on this bike and I'm dying to ride it and see what it is like. Darren at Mid Life Crisis Imports did an amazing job bringing it in for me in perfect shape. If you need anything brought in, I can't give him a higher recommendation.

Also to confirm I use these on my own bikes and have had no problem with them.

Kenneth, any stockest of Uni filters could help you out. They are not as good as the standard stock units but do the job well. They are single layer foam and are best held on with zip ties. Uni Filter part number NU4035ST most local bike shops could get for you. should be around 25 to 30 bucks.

Is it as good as the photo's you posted???

Hi Red Devil fans. Well after a long wait, my baby has just arrived and it is a thing of beauty. I would be more than happy just to look at it but I am going to enter a few races, the first being Buladelah next month. The bike needs 2 things. A new air filter and the green stickers for the number plates. The green stickers for the number plates should be easy enough to find but can anyone help with where I can get my hands on an air filter quickly. It's a 79 CR250RZ,

Hi Guys, I had to share this with you as of all the people in Aus, you 18 others in this group will probably appreciate this most. I have just recently purchased a 79 CR 250 owned by Brad Lackey, prepared by a factory Suzuki, Maico mechanic Steve Stasiefski and raced by the 79 500cc World Champion Graham Noyce. It is on it's way to Aus and I will be racing it in NSW at VMX events and selected interstate events. Can't wait!!
