A nice result and it looks ready for the World champs in May. Must get going with my Montadero which I disassembled recently. So get that world champs entry form lodged. Cheers. Martin.

Bultaco241...mate, thanks for the compliment. Its been an interesting 18 months. The old girl is better than new, I think.

I'd love to show her at a rally somewhere, but I have no idea where that would be! Where is this "Classic Dirt" camp you speak of?

Wow ! Stuart you did a amazing job on that sherpa t well done , you will have to bring it to classic dirt and put it on display at the bultaco camp.

One more Sherpa saved...I might try and fit the original lighting kit and get it rec registered.

HI there, I am new to this site and to bike renovation in general. I have a 1971 Sherpa T 250 which I am in the process of pulling apart.
If anyone out there has any ideas how tio get the fork internal out of the tube, I would love to hear from you! I got everything disassembled - lowers, triple clamp - but cannot work out how to get the internals out of the tube! I have the manuals but they dont mention how - only instructions for changing the oil.
I have worked a bit on modern forks in downhill racing bikes, so you would think these old-school ones would be easier!
BTW...pictures of the beast will be posted soon.
