Events > QVMX 2005 QVMX 2005 Series - Rounds 1, 2 & 3Round 1First round QVMX 6/3/05 Coles Creek - traditionally a damp start to the year but due to the driest Summer in 60 years for SE Qld it was very dusty. We had 55 riders a little down on last year but last year we did the Jim Pomeroy thing. A few different things were implemented this year due to a new committee just to make riding andspectating more comfortable and safer.Coles Creek is a private property natural terrain track set on 30 acres of dang near perfect riding country just south of Gympie. To keep our gracious host happy (and riders) we mark out a new track
each time we ride there. Round 2Rain rain rain and how good was it after round 1's dust bowl. Numbers down a little we had around 40 riders who braved the elements and enjoyed some of the best riding conditions ever (similar to R1 2004 Coles Creek). Showers in the early part of the day followed by steamy sunshine. By 11am we were riding on plasticine, traction plus!!! Round 3 Mundoolun 29/5/05. Set in the Gold Coast hinterland near Mt Tambourine
was the Once again racing took place under reasonably dusty conditions but everything
went smoothly no major accidents and no major carnage. This track is a
great track for the older bikes and the Evo boys love the long straigts
so we can keep everybody happy. With 50+ riders another great days riding was had by all .
