Queensland Classic Motocross Championships 2005

The Brisbane Motorcycle Club held the Queensland Classic Motocross Championships at their Nudgee track on Sept 11. Our man on the scene filed this report and more photos than you can poke a stick at.

A warm overcast day greeted the riders and spectators who turned up for the BMCC Classis Motocorss Championship on Sunday the 11th of September 2005. The track conditions were ideal with a nice loamy surface with very very little dust.

Full credit to BMCC and all concerned on a job well done! The racing was fast and furious as always. The few quick guys in each race setting up commanding leads and the rest battled it out amongst themselves for the minor places. There were some great duels throughout the day and a few very spectacular high-sides on the fast right hand sweeper that leads onto the main straight. Fortunately no serious injuries prevailed and apart from these biggys only minor incidents occured for the balance of the day. The Brisbane club , I must say, do go to great lengths to ensure both the competitors and spectators a like have all they could want in regards to food , drinks and amenities.

It truly was a wonderful day.
