2006 Queensland Classic Scramble Championships

A good turn up of riders and a well-prepared event can only make for a good meeting, and that's exactly what we got on Ocober 15. As usual the Brisbane Motor Cycle Club were on top of things making sure the day went smoothly. Thank you to everyone who had a part in providing an excellent day.

The track here at Nudgee is short and tight, which makes for close racing and at times it was a little too close. There were a couple of falls on the day, however due to camera failure guys those photos will not be seen so your egos remain intact.

It was good to see the Chadwick boys out there, what a family of riders - every one of them is brilliant. It was the older one of the clan #58 Michael Chadwick ( known to some as bully boy) that most of us will remember for the day, this guy is a machine with plenty of style and stamina, riding back to back in some races.

Even though they are over sixty these guys are still looking good out there #40 Vern Grayson, #50 Col Metcher, #99 Bill Holm, #112 Gary Semmens, and not often seen #61 Ron Beaver on his AJS stormer. Speaking of AJS #46 Dave Tanner was riding a lovely fifties model reputed to be a works bike.

Thanks to the guys that constantly watered the track dust was kept to a minimum, which I am sure was appreciated by the riders. Our one female rider on the day #2 Catherine Mohr certainly showed she is no pussy on the track, in fact she is the opposite. Better watch out guys, this girls good!

Congratulations to everyone who received a trophy/trophies, once again thanks to the Brisbane Motor Cycle Club for a fantastic day.
