Brisbane Motorcycle Cub Round One

The Brisbane Motorcycle Club welcomed their new President Lance Winley, as the first round of the club championships got underway at Nudgee. Rumour has it the club is looking at a natural terrain track near Gatton…fingers crossed. New faces and fresh competition keeps this sport alive and exciting, and from what I've seen recently we're in for a good year of racing. Although a male dominated sport, it was great to find these two roses amongst the thorns, Tanya Britton and Catherine Mohr, good on ya girls, with any luck you will encourage more female riders.

There was no complaining about the track, it was well watered keeping the dust at bay. A few problems with bikes, but hey…that's what it's all about. With an attendance of 62 riders and the thought of a new natural terrain track, this year looks promising for the Brisbane Motorcycle Club. Big thanks to the Muirhead brothers, and all the volunteers who give their time.
